As the name implies, large-scale garbage disposal is the treatment of large-scale garbage. Large-scale garbage is currently classified as part of domestic garbage, so it is customary to think of it as old sofas, tables and chairs, cabinets, mattresses, large appliance shells, etc. According to the current commonly used disposal scheme, it is mainly manual disassembly, shredder crusher, and magnetic separator to recycle iron and metal, and the remaining wood, cloth, plastic, foam, sponge, leather, etc. are packaged as fuel and sent to waste incineration power plants to achieve thermal energy conversion and utilization.
According to the "Technical Requirements for the Collection and Utilization of Large-scale Garbage" (GB/T 25175-2010), large-scale garbage refers to waste that weighs more than 5kg or has a volume greater than 0.2 cubic meters or a length greater than 1 meter and has strong integrity and needs to be disassembled for reuse or treatment.
It can be seen from this that, by definition, large-scale garbage actually includes "large-scale garbage" in multiple fields such as construction waste, industrial waste, and agricultural and forestry waste. For example, engineering wood, dismantled doors and windows, wind turbine blades, photovoltaic components, factory waste, garden branches, etc.
The common feature of large-scale garbage is that it is large, which causes many problems such as storage difficulties and inconvenient transportation. Regardless of the purpose of environmental sanitation or resource recycling, the disposal of large-scale garbage is a local rigid demand. Therefore, most of the large-scale garbage disposal centers in various places are led by local government departments, or they are managed and operated after construction, or they are handed over to social capital. From this perspective, the use function of the entire large-scale garbage disposal center should be greater than the profit demand, but this model of opening up the collection and transportation and tail-end processing links through administrative channels is difficult to keep consistent with the project goals during the operation process, which is also the reason why many people currently have a deviation in their understanding of large-scale garbage disposal projects. And this deviation has also led to a reduction in the quality requirements for large-scale garbage disposal equipment.
In the long run, the disposal of large-scale garbage is a local rigid demand, and the disposal center is regionally unique. There are no competitors and naturally no other institutions that can share the disposal. With the economic recovery, the improvement of living standards, and the application of new technology products, the generation of large-scale garbage will accelerate due to engineering construction, demolition of old buildings, renewal of home appliances and furniture, and aging of wind power and photovoltaic components. The pressure on local large-scale garbage disposal centers will only increase, not decrease.
On the other hand, the recycling and treatment of waste is related to the construction of "zero-waste cities", carbon peak and carbon neutrality, and the requirements for disposal strength and disposal effect will not be compromised. In the case of overlapping requirements for processing volume and treatment effect, large-scale waste disposal equipment will undoubtedly bear huge administrative and social responsibilities. If the quality is not good enough, it will be difficult to continue to be competent for the current position.
The number of large-scale waste disposal equipment is small, and the current mainstream process is relatively simple. The disposal process is almost pollution-free, and the degree of processing can be flexibly selected according to market conditions to meet different market needs and achieve commercialization and marketization. It is a typical project with small land occupation, low investment, high degree of automation and strong practicality. The use of high-quality disposal equipment to ensure the long-term and stable operation of the production line will not only help to solve the environmental problems caused by large-scale waste in the region in the long term, but also can flexibly change the operation mode and product type with market changes, from functional construction projects to market-oriented operation projects, killing two birds with one stone.
